Source:
Fractional steam distillation of Juniperus virginiana wood chips. Sourced from USA.
Olfactory profile:
Cedarwood terpenes are produced by fractional distillation of cedarwood chips to increase the proportion of several key terpenes - alpha-cedrene, beta-cedrene, thujopsene and cedrol. This results in a stronger smelling, drier, more thujonic scent profile leaning more towards Western Red cedarwoods with aspects of wormwood and camphor..
