Olfactory profile:
Ambroxan is used in the same way as real ambergris in perfumery - to add radiance and diffusion. It's expensive, especially these days as it has been in short supply, but a small amount goes a long way.
The crystalline powder itself has a slight sweet, woody, soapy scent, but its affect on the perfume is huge.
